Welcome to Year 5 ~ The Hawks! My name is Mrs Howarth and I am very excited to be teaching Year 5 this year. As a new member of staff to our school, I am so pleased to be carrying out my 7th year of teaching with you all.

Year 5 is an exciting year as the children take on greater responsibility for their learning and begin to develop even more independence as members of Upper Key Stage 2. In our classroom, I have high expectations of every child and believe that everyone can achieve great things when they are willing to try their best. We will work hard, learn lots, and most importantly, have plenty of fun along the way!

I am passionate about building positive relationships with the children and creating a classroom where everyone feels valued, supported and confident to challenge themselves. We will embrace new opportunities and celebrate our successes as we continue to grow together as a class.

Class Dojo 

We communicate with parents regularly through the Class Story and individual chat on Class Dojo as we think it is an invaluable way of helping parents to stay informed of what is happening with their children on a day to day basis in school. This is a valuable tool for sharing our ethos and values with parents as well as sharing our day-to-day activities and opportunities that our children experience. I will respond to messages during normal school hours.
