E-Safety Champions are pupil representatives from all year groups who play a key role in promoting online safety across the school. They help educate their peers, raise awareness of digital risks, and support a positive online culture.
These pupils receive special training to understand key online safety issues, such as cyberbullying, privacy, misinformation, and safe communication. They help deliver assemblies, lead class discussions, and assist in online safety activities, such as Safer Internet Day. They also act as approachable role models, offering advice and support to classmates who may have online concerns.
E-Safety Champions work closely with teachers, staff, and parents to improve digital safeguarding within the school. They help create posters, videos, and digital guides to share best practices. Regular meetings allow them to discuss emerging online safety issues and contribute ideas for improving the school’s e-safety policies.
By giving pupils an active role in online safety, schools empower children to take responsibility for their digital well-being. E-Safety Champions help create a safer, more informed school community where all pupils feel confident navigating the online world responsibly.
