St John the Baptist Church, Wolvey

Spring Term 2017

Our Value for this half term is Perseverance and our theme is A Sense of Justice.

This ties in with the celebration of Easter at the end of the term and the idea of Jesus's Salvation. We will be thinking about how Christians believe Jesus is the Saviour and how we can help vulnerable people around the world who have less than us.

We look forward to several very special events this term:

Bishop Christopher will be visiting school on Monday 27th February.

Our Easter Service will take place on Thursday 6th April.

Autumn Term Second Half

Our value has been compassion and we have worked hard to think of others through supporting charities like Children in Need and through our thoughts and prayers during Remembrance.

Autumn Term 2016

Our Value for this half term is thankfulness and our theme has been family.

We are very fortunate at Wolvey to be one big family, that is made up of many different communities, cultures and religions but when we are all together our school motto holds strong:

"All unique, all different, learning all together."

We have spent time thinking what we can be thankful for and for our Harvest Festival we once again collected items for Nuneaton Food bank.

For Easter this year each child made a daffodil to hang from an Easter Tree in the church.  This was displayed during the Spring Fair.  It looked really wonderful. Our School's Easter Tree

Every Half Term from January 2015 we will be focusing on a different Christian Value.

In January we will be thinking about HOPE.

From February until Easter we will thinking about THOUGHTFULNESS & SERVICE.

From April until May half term we will be thinking about COMMUNITY.

From June to end of the summer term we will be thinking about COURAGE.
