Headteachers Welcome
Welcome to the Wolvey C of E Primary School Website.
We hope that this website will answer many of your questions about our school. However, should you still need further details please contact us directly at the school. Also if you are thinking of sending your child to our school please contact the school office to arrange a visit.
In the past four years no one, who is familiar with Wolvey School, can have failed to notice the improvements that have been made. Reports from none other than Ofsted-twice, the National Society Statutory Inspection of Anglican Schools and Warwickshire Local Authority all agree with the judgement that Wolvey is a good school.
Ofsted actually graded the school outstanding for:
- the behaviour of its learners
- how well equality of opportunity is promoted and discrimination eliminated
- how well the school contributes to community cohesion.
Furthermore, the school, through its distinctive Christian character, is outstanding at meeting the needs of all learners – from the National Society Inspection.
There is an exciting “buzz” about the school with children’s creativity being fostered and celebrated along side their academic progress. As a Church School, Wolvey is keen to promote its links with the Parish Church of St. John the Baptist. A two-way relationship has been strengthened and will be further developed together with our Church of England School identity. Our school ethos is based on Christian belief and principals; we positively encourage the care of self, others and the environment. We are also very keen on forging links with both our local and wider communities.
We expect every child to be hardworking, determined to do their best and well behaved at all times. We want children to celebrate their own and others’ achievements and to be proud of their school. Our considerable success has been achieved through the great deal of hard work that has been put in by its dedicated staff and children, who are a delight to work with and a credit to their families. We also have the support of our very committed members on the school’s Governing Body, many of whom regularly give of their time for the good of the children.
A successful school relies on partnership and understanding with parents and the community that it serves. This website is intended to contribute to this partnership.
