Governor Profiles

Douglas Tribe - Chair of Governors and Church Foundation Governor, Safeguarding & English Governor


I have been on the Governing Body for 12 years.  I was a former Secondary Head, Local Authority Advisor and SIP for DfE Academies Programme.


I am currently Chair of an Interim Governing Body for Blue Coat Church of England School and Music College, Coventry and a Director on the Board for The Holy Spirit Catholic Multi Academy Company, Nuneaton.


My interests are: in the development of leadership in schools. the provision of excellent education for children and quality relationships with the communities in which we serve.



Mr Adrian Warwick - Co-opted Governor & Vice Chair, member of the Finance Committee


I have lived in Wolvey most of my life, with roots going back many generations. I attended Wolvey School as a Child, and have served locally as a Borough Councillor, Parish Councillor and Buildings Officer for the Local Chapel. I currently run two small businesses with my wife Julie, and enjoy getting involved with community projects.



Caron Bird - previous Vice Chair of Governors, governor for EYFS, member of the Finance Committee


I have been on the Governing Body for 9 years first as a Parent Governor and now as a local Authority Governor.


I have a keen interest in Early Years having taught children at Wolvey Preschool prior to taking a teaching degree at The University of Warwick.  I am now a class teacher at a school in Rugby where I currently teach Foundation Stage One (Nursery) children.


I take great pride in being a Governor at Wolvey as I attended the school myself as did my siblings, nephews and own children.

Samantha Hall - Clerk to Governors


I have previously worked for Barclays Bank PLC both in the branch network and then in Head Office.  I am currently a Teaching Assistant and lunchtime Supervisory Assistant for a Coventry School.


I have strong interpersonal, communication and organisational skills gained from previous experience in administration, service, sales and project environments.  These together with my current and developing experiences provides me with the skills required to support the Governors at Wolvey.

Carole Court - Safeguarding Governor and Governor for RE


I have lived in Wolvey since 1978 and had 2 children who attended Wolvey when they were young.


I was involved in teaching for over 40 years in Birmingham with the last few years spent supporting schools in Equality and Multicultural Education and working with families new to England.


I am now retired and enjoy being a grandmother and a school Governor.  I keep up to date with developments in education and have particular interest in Special Education Needs, Safeguarding and Performance Management as well as general school matters.

Caroline Goodman - Support Staff Governor


I am currently a HTLA at Wolvey C of E Primary but was previously an Administrative Officer at De Montfort University and a Teaching Assistant at another Junior School in the area.


My interests are varied and include: drama, theatre, reading, music, gardening and crafts.  I am member of Hinckley URC Church where I am an "Elder" with responsibility for the Youth and Children's work and co-leader of the Sunday Club.


In school I mainly work in KS2 and enjoy teaching English and Maths.  I am looking forward to being part of a new initiative this year with the implementation of a new music scheme across the school as this is an area I am passionate about, as well as RE, Art, History and French. 

Becky Maoudis - Parent Governor, member of the Finance Committee & SEND Governor


I am a self employed, married mum of three children that all attend Wolvey C of E Primary School


I have only recently taken on the role of Parent Governor and I am also a member of the Finance Sub Committee.


I have had an active role in the PTA and volunteer to help in school when I can.


I also work as a finance officer in a Catholic school in Coventry.



Ian Pearce - Parent Governor, member of the Finance Committee


I have been a Governor since February 2015.  Before then I was a Governor at a school in Blandford Forum and a swimming teacher also for that school.


I currently work for the Armed Forces and have done so for 20 years.


I have 2 children who attend Wolvey and I hope to support the school in any way I can, as a link to the Armed Forces community on Bramcote Barracks and as Health and Safety Governor.

 I have been at Wolvey for 3 years teaching both in Year 3 and Year 2.
